Volunteers needed for Art Fundraiser in Long Beach

Xela Institute of Art is seeking volunteers who are passionate about art to provide support during an annual fundraiser. Volunteers will be in charge of ensuring a positive visitor experience, monitoring the artworks currently on display, and assisting throughout the set up, reception, and closing activities of the 2025 Xela Fundraiser.

Volunteers are expected to help perform the following tasks:

• Event set up (tables and chairs, reception area)
• Welcome guests
• Manage guest list
• Guide visitors to their tables
• Monitor artworks
• Answer or re-direct questions
• Assist in closing activities

Ideal candidates must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm about contemporary art, ability to work with others, willingness to learn, and are at least 18 years of age. Bilingual speakers who can help expand engagement with various visitors is a plus, however, it is not a requirement. Please inform us of any additional language fluencies with application.

Prior knowledge of contemporary art or education may be helpful, but it is not required.
