Looking for a meaningful way to spend a day outdoors? Come be part of something truly inspiring at a Special Olympics NC Golf Tour! We're teeing up for an incredible event-and we need enthusiastic volunteers like YOU to help our athletes shine.
When? Monday, June 23, 2025
Where? Mooresville Golf Club, 205 Golfcourse Drive, Mooresville, NC (just minutes from beautiful Lake Norman)
Time Commitment: 4-5 hours of your time
Volunteer Roles Include:
Volunteer Check-In - Greet and organize fellow volunteers as they arrive.
Athlete Escort - Guide and cheer on athletes as they move through the event.
Awards Assistant - Help prepare and present those hard-earned medals.
Ball Spotter - Watch the action and help track where the balls land.
Course Officials/Marshals - Be the go-to for rules and support on the course.
Scoring Tent - Help tally scores and keep the leaderboard accurate.
Skills Station Assistant/Manager - Run the skill competitions for the athletes.
Whether you're a golf lover, sports enthusiast, or just someone with a big heart and a few free hours, this is your chance to make a real impact. Spend the day supporting incredible athletes with intellectual disabilities as they compete, grow, and celebrate their achievements.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round athletic training and sports competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy, and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families and other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
