The perfect Sunday afternoon activity: volunteering with your buds.
Join the National Park Service in removing garbage from Oxon Cove Park on May 18! This serene body of water feeds into the Potomac River but is also an unfortunate collection point for litter, endangering wildlife and visitor health alike. We need your help to get rid of all that waste and keep the area clean.
Meet up with Rangers at the Oxon Hill Farm visitor center at 12:00 PM to receive supplies and instructions before hiking down to the cove. Wear sturdy footwear you won't mind getting wet, as you'll be working near the water.
Sign up today to lock in your attendance, and we'll see you down by the cove!
