Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and creative Figma Expert to join our design team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating high-quality, user-friendly designs using Figma, collaborating with product designers, developers, and stakeholders to bring ideas to life. Your expertise in Figma’s features and capabilities will ensure smooth workflows, efficient design systems, and pixel-perfect deliverables.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and prototype user interfaces using Figma for web and mobile applications.
Create and maintain reusable design components and design systems within Figma.
Collaborate closely with product designers, developers, and stakeholders to refine and execute design concepts.
Conduct design reviews and provide feedback to ensure designs meet usability and accessibility standards.
Optimize and streamline the Figma workflow for faster collaboration and iteration.
Assist in training and mentoring junior designers on Figma best practices.
Requirements:
Proven expertise in Figma, including prototyping, design systems, and advanced features.
Strong portfolio showcasing Figma-based UI/UX designs.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with design systems, responsive design, and user-centered design principles.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Familiarity with other design tools (Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.) is a plus.

Description
We set up this organization to improve the lives of Roosevelt Island, NY residents. Our goal is to make our community more cohesive and equitable while creating an environment of transparency. This will be accomplished by developing a platform that enables residents to provide feedback on their quality of life on the island and providing supporting organizations with ways to identify areas of opportunities and underrepresented groups to help enact policies and initiatives to improve lives.
For residents, it will save time searching for many services the island offers and provide a consistent way to give feedback to supporting organizations, seamlessly integrating them with the community. It will allow organizations to communicate centrally and support residents, helping determine what is working and what needs improvement.
