The 2025 GLASA Great Lakes Games In Partnership With The Hartford provides athletes with physical and/or visual disabilities the opportunity to compete in a variety of adaptive sports at beginner to elite levels including Archery, Boccia, Para Powerlifting, Doubles Para Pickleball, Paratriathlon, Shooting, Swim, Track & Field and more.
This event is not possible without the support of our volunteers. To participate, volunteers must be 14 years or older. No experience is necessary; training will be held on-site.

GLASA promotes the physical and mental well-being of youth, adults and injured veterans who have a primary physical disability and/or visual impairment through adaptive recreational, integrative, and competitive sports. Overall we look to promote healthy lifestyles and increase physical, social, and emotional well-being and self-sufficiency for our athletes. Our motto: Let No One Sit on the Sidelines!
Description
GLASA provides year-round sports, clinics, camps, and special events for people with a primary physical or visual impairment. GLASA enhances quality of life by removing barriers, raising expectations, setting goals and achieving success!
GLASA programs include, but are not limited to: Air Rifle, Boccia, Tennis, Track & Field, Power Soccer, Golf, Swimming, Hand-cycling, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Football, Sled Ice Hockey, Swimming, Kayaking, Goalball for the Visually Impaired, Downhill Skiing, Water Skiing, Yoga, and much more!
GLASA depends on volunteers, fundraising, private donations, grants and corporate donations in order to operate.

REQUIREMENTS
- This is a Done in a Day opportunity and there is no prior training or ongoing commitment needed.
- Must be at least 14
- 2-3 hours
- There are tons of different opportunities, and shifts throughout each day. The minimum age for most volunteer slots is 14, but for some slots it is 16 years old. Please see the description for each role on the Sign-Up Genius
