Program Leadership & Planning:

  • Develop and implement the mentoring program's annual schedule, budget, and resources.
  • Ensure the smooth running of the program, including mentor-mentee matching, follow-up, scheduling, and feedback.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the program to meet the needs of mentors and mentees.

Volunteer Recruitment, Training, and Support:

  • Develop and implement a plan to recruit and train mentors from various sources (e.g., business community, senior citizens, faith-based organizations).
  • Conduct mentor screening and orientation, ensuring they meet program requirements.
  • Provide ongoing support and supervision to mentors, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Facilitate mentor training and professional development opportunities.

Mentee Support:

  • Work with mentees to identify their needs and goals and ensure they are being met through the mentoring program.
  • Support the development of mentor-mentee relationships and provide guidance to mentors on how to effectively mentor mentees.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Maintain records of mentors and mentees, including their contact information and program participation.
  • Collect and analyze data on program outcomes to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare reports and evaluations for funders and stakeholders.

Community Engagement:

  • Represent the organization and the mentoring program in the community.
  • Seek out opportunities for collaboration with other organizations and agencies.

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in volunteer management or program coordination.
  • Knowledge of mentoring principles and best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Passion for mentoring and making a difference in the lives of others.
