Are you looking to make a meaningful difference this summer? Join our compassionate team as a Summer Hospice Volunteer and help bring comfort, dignity, and connection to individuals at the end of life.
As a hospice volunteer, you'll provide emotional support, companionship, and a calm presence to patients and their families. Whether it’s reading aloud, listening to stories, helping with small tasks, or simply sitting in silence, your presence matters.
Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:
Visiting patients in their homes, assisted living, or nursing facilities
Offering companionship and conversation
Supporting family caregivers with respite time
Running light errands (as appropriate)
Assisting with administrative tasks at our hospice office (optional)
Training Provided:
All volunteers receive comprehensive training to feel confident and supported in their role. No prior healthcare experience required-just a warm heart and willingness to serve.
Qualifications:
Must be 18+
Empathetic, dependable, and comfortable around individuals with serious illness
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Background check and TB test (provided by us)
Commitment of at least 1-2 hours per week
