Foster Your Future is seeking a creative, mission-driven Volunteer Content Creator to support our communications across multiple platforms-including our website, social media, blog, and newsletters. This role plays a vital part in telling our organization’s story, acknowledging our generous funders and partners, and highlighting the voices and experiences of our program participants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Content Development
• Draft and edit compelling written content for newsletters, blog posts, website updates, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)
• Interview program participants, volunteers, and staff to create human-interest stories that showcase the impact of our work
• Assist with writing and formatting content that aligns with our brand tone and values
• Funders & Partners Recognition
• Craft thoughtful and timely acknowledgments of funders and community partners through social media shoutouts, donor spotlights, and newsletter features
• Collaborate with staff to ensure funder and partner visibility requirements are met
• Campaign Support
• Support awareness and fundraising campaigns by creating engaging, shareable content
• Help maintain a content calendar to coordinate posts and updates across platforms
• Program Highlights
• Write short features or success stories that spotlight program participants (with consent), community events, and volunteer efforts
• Assist in organizing a library of stories, quotes, and photos for future use

Qualifications:

• Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to tone, grammar, and audience
• Strong storytelling ability and a passion for mission-driven work
• Experience with social media platforms, blogging tools, or newsletter software (e.g., Mailchimp, WordPress, Canva) is a plus
• Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and collaborate with staff
• Experience or interest in nonprofits, community work, or social impact stories
