Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and organized individual to lead our fundraising efforts. As Development Chair, you will spearhead initiatives that generate vital financial support for our mission. You will work closely with the board, staff, and volunteers to plan, coordinate, and implement fundraising activities throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute an annual fundraising plan with achievable goals.

• Organize and oversee fundraising events, campaigns, and donor drives.

• Identify and pursue new fundraising opportunities, including grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

• Cultivate relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.

• Coordinate with the marketing team to promote fundraising efforts via social media, newsletters, and other channels.

• Maintain records of fundraising activities and report progress to the board.

• Recruit and lead a fundraising committee as needed.

Qualifications:

• Passion for parrots and commitment to our mission.

• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

• Experience with fundraising, event planning, or nonprofit development preferred.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.

• Creativity and enthusiasm for implementing new ways to engage donors and supporters.
