Volunteers at our serving sites help to expand our reach of hospitality. We invite you to join us in visiting with folks who stop by for lunch, serve food from inside the truck and if you have time help with clean-up at our Christ on Capitol Hill church kitchen! Mission Statement

Shobi’s Table is a food ministry that is centered in Jesus Christ, focused on partnerships, relationships, regenerative adaptability, and is with the people not for the people. All of our work is powered by the love of God through those of you who come volunteer, share lunch with us at the truck, donate and pray. We couldn’t do any of this without you!

Description

Shobi’s Table is a Pay-As-You-Can Community Cafe. We serve from-scratch, dignified and delicious in four different locations, four days a week in Saint Paul, MN. Our Mission is to be a common table where all are fed in body and soul. Each week orgs like Twin Cities Food Justice and The Good Acre delivers a load of produce and groceries that would have been thrown out from local Co-ops and farmers markets. Each week we get a different delivery, so we turn it into a new menu each week of cafe fare, featuring items such as wrap sandwiches, salads, pastas, grain bowls, burritos, and from scratch baked goods. Our menus have no prices on them, so whatever you can pay is enough - even if it is nothing! We are a community table where all can come to be fed and experience the dignity of a food truck experience and genuine loving connection. We depend on a vast community of support to make this work happen - from volunteers in the kitchen and food truck, to donors supporting us financially, and the wider community to spread the word and pray for us. Together, we celebrate and strive for a world where all have good food and a loving community.
