At Elite Hospice & Palliative Care, we provide a special kind of care that honors the medical, emotional, and spiritual needs of our patients, helping them live with dignity, comfort, and respect. Volunteers are a cherished part of our team-whether sitting with patients to offer companionship or supporting office tasks behind the scenes, their presence brings light, comfort, and connection. Giving time as a volunteer is a meaningful way to touch lives and be part of something truly compassionate.
- Patient Companion Volunteer
A Patient Companion Volunteer provides comfort and companionship to hospice patients by spending time with them at their bedside. These volunteers offer a compassionate presence, engage in conversation, read aloud, or simply sit quietly to ensure the patient does not feel alone. They do not provide any hands-on medical care but play a vital role in supporting emotional and spiritual well-being during end-of-life care.
2. Administrative Support Volunteer
An Administrative Support Volunteer assists with various clerical and organizational tasks to support the hospice team. This may include filing, data entry, answering phones, preparing mailings, or organizing supplies. These tasks can often be performed in the hospice office or remotely, depending on the needs of the organization. Their work helps ensure smooth day-to-day operations so that clinical staff can focus on patient care.
