Are you a detail-oriented, dependable individual passionate about healthcare and community service? Join the American Red Cross as a Biomedical Services Volunteer Specialist and play a vital role in supporting lifesaving blood collections and deliveries across the community.

What You'll Do:

As a Biomedical Services Volunteer, you'll assist in organizing, coordinating, and ensuring the smooth operation of blood drives and biomedical supply management. Your efforts will directly support critical blood donation initiatives and patient care needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help coordinate the setup, logistics, and support of blood drives

  • Assist with inventory management for biomedical supplies and equipment

  • Support donor intake, registration, and post-donation care areas

  • Track supplies, deliveries, and restocking needs

  • Ensure biomedical equipment is clean, functional, and ready for use

  • Support the scheduling of mobile blood drive operations

  • Recommend process improvements to enhance donor and volunteer experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong organizational and customer service skills

  • Interest in healthcare, logistics, or event coordination

  • Ability to follow public health and Red Cross safety protocols

  • Willingness to work collaboratively with Red Cross staff and other volunteers

  • Ability to lift supplies (reasonable accommodations available)

  • Experience in medical, administrative, or logistical roles is a plus but not required

Training Provided:

We’ll train you on Red Cross biomedical protocols, blood collection support processes, and donor care practices. You’ll gain valuable experience supporting public health initiatives and learn skills that can benefit a future career in healthcare or nonprofit operations.
