Are you passionate about animal rescue and looking for a meaningful way to make a difference? Central Jersey Animal Rescue is seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated and creative Social Media & Marketing Lead to join our team and help amplify our mission of saving and improving the lives of animals in Central NJ.

The volunteer in this position will be responsible for creating and planning social media posts and campaigns, as well as assisting with developing a social media strategy and analyzing statistics to track engagement and trends with social media followers.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead our social media strategy, ensuring consistent, engaging content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn).
• Create and manage a social media content calendar, coordinating posts and campaigns that raise awareness and drive engagement.
• Collaborate with the team on fundraising and awareness campaigns, ensuring maximum visibility.
• Monitor social media trends and analytics, adjusting strategies as needed to improve outreach.
• Assist with digital marketing efforts to promote adoption, events and donations.

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience with social media platforms and digital marketing.
• Strong communication and writing skills, with the ability to craft engaging content.
• A passion for animal welfare and the desire to help grow CJAR’s online presence.
• Experience with schedules (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer) and social media analytics is a plus.
• Ability to commit 1-2 hours per week (flexible schedule).
• Ability to help us to expand to other social media platforms.
