Join Our Team: Regional Recovery Team Member (Volunteer)
Location: National Capital & Greater Chesapeake Region
Are you passionate about helping others during their time of greatest need? We are looking for compassionate and dedicated volunteers to join our Regional Disaster Recovery Team! In this vital role, you’ll provide follow-up and recovery planning services for individuals and families affected by disasters-most commonly, home fires.
As a Recovery Team Member, you’ll conduct client follow-ups within 72 hours of a case being opened, offer recovery planning support, provide internal and external referrals, and help clients problem-solve and navigate available resources. Services may be provided virtually or in-person. Volunteers may also support intake and financial assistance for clients, and work alongside community partners to plan for longer-term recovery needs.
What We’re Looking For:
Volunteers who can commit 6-8 hours per week, with availability 2-3 days a week (Monday-Friday preferred, some weekends available).
A minimum 1-year commitment with opportunity to renew.
Comfort and proficiency with computers and technology.
Bilingual volunteers (Spanish-speaking) strongly needed.
Volunteers especially needed in Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
