We're looking for motivated, passionate individuals to join us remotely and work directly with the community to create meaningful change. If you’re someone who wants hands-on experience and is eager to make an impact, this opportunity is for you.

Position: Community Engagement Volunteer (1-Year Commitment)

Type: Full-time, Remote (within ±2 hours of Saudi Arabia time)

Duration: 12 months (with flexibility for exceptional candidates)

Compensation: Unpaid (with mentorship and career-building opportunities). Note: Positions will be paid if grants become available.

About this Position

As a Community Engagement Volunteer, you’ll work directly with the leadership and community members, gaining unparalleled experience in human rights, labour rights, the importance of data and the understanding of laws and policies. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in impactful work that directly affects communities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Organise, monitor and facilitate online communities
  • Engage with communities to identify victims of human trafficking
  • Provide support to the affected community
  • Liaise with the employer to negotiate when needed
  • Data collection, data organisation, and data input
  • Work together with the fundraising team to provide flight tickets

About You

  • Highly self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently
  • Passionate about human rights, social justice, and community development
  • Very organised and detail-oriented with excellent self-management skills
  • With excellent cross-cultural communication skills
  • Eager to learn about issues affecting migrant workers and able to distill information about complex systems and laws into easy-to-understand messages to the community
  • Finally, you are eager to learn, a self-starter, and require minimal direction to complete tasks.

Logistics

This volunteer position starts as soon as the right candidate is chosen. It is fully remote and open to applicants of all levels who meet the qualifications. Students wishing to complete this as an internship will have the option of receiving academic credit, as allowed by their institutions.

You should:

  • Be available to work for a minimum of 10 months.
  • Available full-time
  • Have access to a computer, phone and internet connection
  • Available for weekly meetings
  • Must be based within ±2 CET time zone
