ORGANIZATION: Camp Fire Inland Southern California

Camp Fire Inland Southern California is seeking passionate, community-minded individuals to join our Board of Directors. We serve over 1,300 students daily through no-cost before and after school programs at Title 1 schools in Orange, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove. Our programs focus on adademic support, leadership development, and connection to nature.

We meet six times per year, three times in person and three times virtual. Our current board is composed of individuals who live in Orange, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino Counties.

We are looking for individuals who are committed to equity in education and youth development. Prior board experience is helpful but not required. We value dedication, diverse perspectives, and a desire to make a lasting impact.

Description

Camp Fire Inland Southern California (CFISC) is a nonprofit youth development organization dedicated to helping young people discover their spark, connect with others, and develop the skills they need to succeed. We provide free before and after school programs and summer activities for over 1,3000 youth each day, primarily serving Title 1 schools in Orange, Santa Ana, and Garden Grove.

Our programs focus on academic support, leadership development, social-emotional learning, outdoor education, and physical fitness. We believe every young person deserves the opportunity to thrive, and we ar committed to creating inclusive, supportive environments where youth can explore thier interess, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

At Camp Fire, we believe in the power of community and the importance of lifting up the next generation.
