ORGANIZATION: SWB Delivers Outreach Program

We are seeking event set-up/clean-up support for 2 scheduled housing clinics on Friday, May 16, 2025 (Oakland) and Saturday, August 9, 2025 (El Cerrito). Responsibilties include assisting with set-up of clinic registration tables, food area, guest tables, etc. In addition, assist with clean up, removing any waste from rented areas. Volunteers are required to dedicate a minimum of 2 hrs during the clinic hours, and a 30-minute logistics meeting. Lunch will be provided and additional volunteer incentives. Skills must include fluent English (Spanish or Cantonese/Mandarin is a plus), detail-oriented, and able to work in diverse environments.

The mission of SWB Delivers is to end homelessness and provide financial literacy programs that create wealth in disadvantaged communities.

Description

SWB Delivers Outreach Program provides outreach services, to include community engagement, housing problem solving, information & referrals, affordable housing opportunities, and health & wellness programs for low-income households up to 80% of the area median income (by county served). Our program is funded through public and private donations. Our unique business model and partnership with Strive Real Estate affords our program to service counties; Alameda, Contra Costa, San Francisco (California), Montgomery and Hamilton (Ohio), and Philadelphia (Pennsylvania). Our corporate office is located in El Cerrito, California.

Our program beneficiaries exceed 200 per year, with an average permanent housing placement of 68% and available essential life services that address food insecurity, financial hardship, health and wellness, such as mental illness, addiction and recovery support, in addition to resources and tools to increase incomes, encourage career paths, home ownership education and investment.

Strive Communities (a partnership with Strive Real Estate) promotes housing that is affordable, offers wrap-around services that include all benefits for renters and homeowners.
