We are looking for passionate and dedicated volunteers to help lead and host our 23rd annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Great Lakes Bay.
What is Making Strides Against Breast Cancer (MSABC)?
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Great Lakes Bay is a 2 mile noncompetitive walk that takes place on October 18, 2025 at Saginaw Valley State University. In 2024, our event welcomed over 1,800 people and 120+ breast cancer survivors and thrivers to celebrate and honor those in our community who have been impacted by breast cancer. Participants are asked to create teams with their friends, family, or coworkers and help us raise life-saving funds for the American Cancer Society. 100% of net proceeds from this event are invested in breast cancer research and patient support programs.
Leadership Volunteers Needed:
- Event Leadership Team - Help us plan the event! This team commits to helping us plan and execute the event. We meet 1-2x per month between March - November. Meetings are normally an hour and are virtual most of the time. We need help with marketing, social media, participant outreach, volunteers, and logistics.
- Executive Ambassadors - Help us fund our mission to save more lives from breast cancer. Executive Ambassadors for our event commit to helping us bring in new sponsorships or teams to the event. Each ambassador commits to helping us raise $5,000 and meetings are 1 on 1 with ACS staff, frequency of the meetings are dependent on the individual.
