Positions Needed: 2 Volunteers to support summer for Children in Oakland (Ancora)
Start Date: June 19, 2025
Schedule: Thursday, 2pm-3:30pm, every other week (June 19, 2025 - August 28, 2025)
We are seeking two volunteers to work with children completing a simple summer event such as baking cookies or planting plants. We need your help to make it a success!
As a volunteer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a wonderful cause of enreching children's summer break. You will also gain valuable experience and meet new people in the community.
Requirements: Volunteers must commit to volunteer a minimum of 3 months, and must complete a volunteer orientation, volunteer forms and background screening prior to beginning their placement.

Description
The purpose of the SAHA's Volunteer Program is to improve the quality of living and promote health and well-being for Satellite Housing's residents. Volunteers will help foster community by facilitating activities for the residents, such as exercise groups, art classes, discussion groups, providing health and wellness information, leading or participating in games, assisting with special events, etc. The residents really appreciate the effort that is put forth by the volunteers, and look forward to the weekly interactions.
