We believe that everyone’s journey deserves the utmost respect, empathy, and support. Our personal approach lies at the heart of everything we do.
Description
Volunteers are an integral part of the hospice team. Volunteers offer more than just their time-they provide emotional support, companionship, and a sense of dignity to patients and their families during one of life’s most challenging transitions. They spend time talking with patients, engaging in light activities like reading, playing music, or simply being present. These seemingly small acts have a profound impact on patients’ well-being. A volunteer’s presence can alleviate feelings of loneliness, reduce anxiety, and even improve the overall quality of life for patients during their final days.
Autumn Hospice provides orientation and training for our volunteers as well as continuing education and ongoing support. If you are interested in joining our wonderful team of volunteers, please contact us today!
