Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower young men ages 7-17 in underserved communities through outdoor experiences that teach survival skills, disaster preparedness, leadership, and pathways to financial mobility.
Description
Outdoor Life Leadership is a grassroots nonprofit established in 2024 with a clear mission: to empower young men ages 7-17 from underserved communities through transformative outdoor experiences. Our programs are designed to teach vital skills like survival, disaster preparedness, leadership, and economic mobility, offering participants pathways to a successful future in outdoor and emergency service careers.
Our flagship program, Bear n Archers, engages young men in structured, adventure-based learning where they build confidence and resilience while mastering essential outdoor skills. For our older participants, ages 18-24, Bear Captains provides a leadership and volunteerism opportunity that empowers them to mentor younger participants. These young men become role models, fostering teamwork and guiding others to discover their own potential.
With our partnerships, we’ve already achieved notable milestones, including hosting three family camping retreat that brought together eight families for a weekend of learning and connection in nature.
At Outdoor Life Leadership, we envision a world where every young man has access to resources and skills that open doors to economic and personal growth. Through volunteer support, we are creating a community of confident, resilient, and motivated young men ready to lead and succeed. Join us in making a lasting impact!
