The content writer is a volunteer (unpaid) opportunity. This role reports to the executive/governance committee and is responsible for drafting the monthly newsletter content for the website and/or distribution list. The content writer coordinates regularly with the website admin and the digital marketing admin to ensure effective content and publication of content. This is a fun opportunity for someone who enjoys writing, creativity, and engaging with people!

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and creates content for the monthly newsletter
  • Coordinates with the board/committees to ensure alignment on content
  • Coordinates with the web support admin and social media admin to propose/draft engaging content that may also be shared via the website and social media platforms
  • Maintains the contact list for distribution of the newsletter

Requirements:

  • Be extremely comfortable sharing ideas for content as well as developing material
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a friendly and outgoing personality

This opportunity may be used for college course credit. All candidates must reside in the United States, and the role can be performed anywhere within the United States.

NOTE: We cannot support international volunteers or court-mandated community service hours.
