Help us create a social media strategy!
We’re looking for volunteers to help us grow the Orange Art Association!
Social Media Manager
We’re looking for someone who can brainstorm ideas, create a calendar for our social media content, and implement the ideas. We currently have a Facebook page and an Instagram account.
Here are some content ideas we’re thinking about:
Artist Spotlights:
Weekly features highlighting different artists, their work, and their creative processes. Include photos, videos, and interviews.Art Demos:
Live-stream or post highlights of the monthly art demos by award-winning artists. Include tips, techniques, and insights.Behind the Scenes:
Share behind-the-scenes content of setting up exhibits, preparing for events, and day-to-day activities at OAA. This humanizes the organization and fosters connection.Exhibit Promotions:
Create engaging posts about upcoming exhibitions featuring member artwork. Use high-quality images and provide information about dates, times, and any special events.Volunteer Opportunities:
Highlight volunteer opportunities and share testimonials from current volunteers about their experiences and satisfaction.Community Engagement:
Use polls, quizzes, and Q&A sessions to engage the audience. Ask members for feedback or ideas on future events.Art Challenges:
Host monthly or weekly art challenges where members can submit their artwork based on a prompt. Feature submissions on social media.Membership Drives:
Create posts that inform potential members about the benefits of joining OAA. Include testimonials from current members, details about events, and how to get involved.Art Education:
Share tips, tutorials, and resources for both aspiring and seasoned artists. This could include links to articles, videos, or even live workshops.Seasonal/Cultural Celebrations:
Tie posts to seasonal themes or cultural events (e.g., Earth Day-themed artwork in April) to engage the community and emphasize the relevance of art.

Mission Statement
The primary goals of our association are to foster a better understanding of fine art by the public, to encourage students to pursue art as a career through our scholarship program and to continually challenge our members to strive for excellence and fulfillment.
Description
The Orange Art Association was established in 1970 as a tax-exempt corporation. Our in-person member meeting participation dropped during the pandemic, and now we're trying to rebuild and grow our membership. We meet 9 months out of the year, and at most meetings, we have an esteemed artist demo and an art contest open to members.
OAA is involved in the community in several ways.
Orange Open Show
Every August, with the help of individuals and businesses who donate, the OAA hosts the 'Orange Open’, a juried show open to all artists, at the Guggenheim Gallery at Chapman University. With over 350 combined pieces of artwork entered, selected artists have an opportunity to exhibit and sell their art.
A generous donation from the proceeds from the Orange Open show is presented in the form of scholarships for Chapman University art students in December at the Chapman student art show.
Rotating Art Program
We have our 'Rotating Art’ program that gives emerging artists an opportunity to exhibit and sell their artwork at local venues such as City Hall and Businesses.
