Job Duties for Food Distribution Traffic Team Coordinator:
Traffic Management
- Oversee the flow of vehicles during food distribution events.
- Ensure smooth and safe traffic operations.
- Ensure all of the registered attendees are signed in and served.
Volunteer Coordination
- Recruit, train, and supervise traffic team volunteers.
- Schedule and assign tasks to traffic team volunteers.
Safety Enforcement
- Implement and enforce safety protocols for vehicles and pedestrians.
- Provide safety training to traffic team volunteers and participants.
Communication
- Serve as the point of contact for traffic-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with distribution site volunteers.
Planning and Setup
- Assist in planning traffic logistics for distribution events.
- Set up traffic cones, signs, and barriers or coordinate with your volunteer team to execute.
Problem-Solving
- Address traffic issues and resolve conflicts on-site.
- Adapt plans as needed to ensure efficient traffic flow.
Record Keeping
- Ensure all records of attendees for the event are updated and given to Soldiers' Angels
- Report on traffic management outcomes and areas for improvement.
Time Committment: 5-10 hours a month. Must be available on the 3rd Thursday of each month. 8:00 am-3:00 pm.
Age Requirement: 18 years of age or older
