Looking for an opportunity to serve on the board of a nonprofit? YNPN (Young Nonprofit Professionals Network) Boston is seeking individuals who are hungry for leadership opportunities and can propel our programs to new heights-highly energetic, driven, and organized individuals to serve on the YNPN Boston Board of Directors. We have a working board and each Board Member serves a dual-leadership role. The first role is a Board Member, responsible for exercising sound fiscal and legal oversight of the organization. The second role is a Senior Leadership Team Member, who will manage a functional area (such as event planning, marketing, fundraising, etc.) of the organization and ensure its success. Most of our Senior Leadership Team Members are responsible for managing a team of YNPN Boston Ambassadors, who will assist in executing the team’s responsibilities. We are growing and changing as an organization. We are looking for Board Members who are eager to try new things and help us expand our reach, audience, and impact.

Our goal is to develop a stronger, higher impact nonprofit community in Boston by engaging young talent and their organizations in professional development and human capital management practices. Our vision is that one day, Boston’s nonprofit community (where individuals and organizations are working together) will have a continuous pipeline of diverse, highly engaged individuals who help to realize the sector’s full potential for impact.

Description

Our communities are facing serious social and economic challenges. As the nonprofit sector races to keep pace, young professionals are often left behind without the resources and training to reach their full potential for impact. If young talent is left uncultivated, the Boston nonprofit sector as a whole suffers. YNPN Boston was created to fill this gap by providing professional development training, resources, and networking opportunities for young nonprofit professional to learn, grow, and connect.
