Become a part of our mission to enrich the lives of elders at Otterbein of Perrysburg by sharing your gardening skills. Your love for plants can foster meaningful relationships and enjoyable experiences for our elderly neighborhood. Become a part of our elder-led Garden Club, gathering on the first Wednesday of each month at 1 PM at house 3531. Together, we will brainstorm and implement beautification projects for our neighborhood and beyond! By choosing your own volunteer schedule, you can help elders with their gardening routines at a frequency that suits you-be it daily, weekly, or monthly. Interested in giving a talk about your gardening enthusiasm? Absolutely! Want to showcase photos of your garden? We encourage that too! There are countless opportunities for you to express your passion, and we are dedicated to fostering connections between you and our neighborhood. Each of our five houses features raised flower beds and private patios, allowing you to help cultivate stunning flowers, herbs, fruit plants, potted plants, and much more. You might also enjoy helping them water their beloved plants with our new retractable hose reels, making the task easier and more fun for everyone. Connect with fellow volunteers and elders as you share your gardening passion and ideas!
