Summer Day Use Volunteer at Smith Springs Day Use Area- J. Percy Priest Lake

Smith Springs Recreation Area is located on J. Percy Priest Lake in Antioch, TN. It is a highly utilized park, averaging approximately 85k visitors per year. There is a picnic shelter that can accommodate up to 50 guests as well as multiple other picnic sites and has an adjacent boat ramp. USACE has one volunteer position to be filled at Smith Springs through the 2025 recreation season. USACE staff will provide a campsite with water, electrical, and sewer service (minimum 20 hrs/week required). Provided campsite will be located in Anderson Road Campground (approximately 1 mile from Smith Springs). Volunteer will open and close park daily seven days a week (0600-1900) as well as monitor Park during working hours. Other duties include interacting with guests, educating them about Title 36 and assist Rangers as needed.
