ORGANIZATION: Cake4Kids

You don't need baking skills to help Cake4Kids grow and serve more youth in Sonoma, California!

We enlist volunteers that help our chapters with specialized roles that don't require any baking, ingredients, mixers, or frosting at all, such as:

Agency Engagement: Strengthen the relationship with our current partner agencies, and help us find new organizations in the community that meet our criteria so we can provide more smiles.

Social Media: Create and post content on our social media outlets that help us get the word out about our organization and mission.

Fundraising: Connect with local donors and collaborate with Cake4Kids staff and leadership to create fun and dynamic events for the community.

Volunteer Engagement: Spread the word about our volunteer opportunities, and reward the hard working bakers who make our program possible.

And more! If there are other ways you can contribute, we are open to ideas and suggestions!

At Cake4Kids, we bake and deliver free birthday cakes for underserved children who might not otherwise receive one. Across the country, we partner with organizations which serve at-risk youth, and the children in their programs make special one-of-a-kind requests on our website. From there, our community of volunteer bakers can find the request on our site, bake a custom made cake, and deliver it to the facility for a unique experience that will enrich a child's life on their special day!

Last year we delivered over 17,000 cakes nationwide - and with your help, we know we can do a lot more!

About Cake4Kids

Location:

PO Box 2863, Sunnyvale, CA 94087, US

Mission Statement

At Cake4Kids, we bake and deliver birthday cakes for foster children and at risk youth. We support all sorts of under-privileged children and youth - they might be in group homes, at a domestic violence or human trafficking agency/shelter, in low income housing with or without a parent or even homeless. We aim to raise these children's self-esteem and confidence with this seemingly simple gift on their special day. It may just be a cake, but the children we bake for know somebody took the time and effort to do something special just for them. The children realize they are important and in turn can have an impact on the world. Cake4Kids is powered by an amazing and compassionate group of volunteers. Our bakers are mostly home-bakers. There are no minimum commitments - you choose how often you want to bake a cake for us. It's pretty simple - a Cake4Kids volunteer baker chooses a cake theme from our online calendar and bakes the cake in their own home and delivers the cake to one of the agencies we serve. Our volunteers never meet the children we support, but every cake is custom-made specially for each child with love.
