Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and creative Volunteer/Intern to assist in written communications for our Partners and Allies program. This Volunteer/Intern will support the creation and revision of written materials, such as marketing copy, newsletters, and website content, ensuring that our messaging effectively communicates our mission, goals, and the collaborative opportunities provided through the new program. The Volunteer/Intern will also help update and maintain content on our website and in our newsletters, keeping our community informed and engaged. This position may include small amounts of graphic design on Canva as needed (for which training will be provided if necessary).

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in creating, editing, and proofreading written materials, including promotional content, newsletters, brochures, and web copy.
• Help update and maintain the website with relevant information related to the Partners and Allies program.
• Collaborate with the program team to develop content for regular newsletter updates, ensuring key initiatives and opportunities are communicated clearly to stakeholders.
• Support other written communication efforts as needed, including social media posts and blog entries related to the program or 50/50 Leadership.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
• Creativity and an ability to tell compelling stories to engage readers.
• A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and within a team.
• Familiarity with nonprofit communications or community-based programs is a plus.
• Familiarity with Canva is a plus.

Time Commitment:
This position requires a commitment of 2 hours maximum per week, with flexibility in scheduling, for a minimum of three months.
