Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Volunteer/Intern to support the verbal and email communications efforts of 50/50 Leadership’s recently launched Partners and Allies program. The Volunteer/Intern will answer quick emails from community organizations and stakeholders, facilitating effective communication about our nonprofit's work. Additionally, the Volunteer/Intern will assist in planning events and attending meetings to help foster collaboration and strengthen relationships among partners and allies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming emails and inquiries from community organizations, stakeholders, and partners in a timely and professional manner, providing brief information about our nonprofit and the Partners and Allies program.
  • Support the coordination and planning of program-related events.
  • Attend and take notes at meetings with partners and stakeholders, helping to organize and follow up on action items.
  • Collaborate with the program team to develop strategies FOR outreach and engagement, keeping partners informed and connected.
  • Assist in drafting and sending quick follow-up emails, event invites, and general correspondence.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Comfortable attending virtual and in-person meetings, representing the organization professionally.
  • Enthusiasm for fostering collaboration and community-building with sensitivity for cultural and experiential differences.
  • A proactive attitude and ability to work independently and within a team.

Time Commitment:
This position requires a commitment of 2-4 hours per week, with flexibility in scheduling, for a minimum of three months.

Established in 2004, we provide financial literacy programs to young women who have grown up in foster care, been incarcerated, been unhoused, and/or survived gender-based violence. In the past, we led leadership training programs and honored women who are making a difference around the world.

We feel that every girl and woman should have the opportunity to realize their leadership potential. Whether they are a leader in their home, at work, school or in the community.
