Overview:
Compassus Hospice is looking for caring and talented individuals with hair styling experience to join our volunteer team. As a Hospice Hair Stylist Volunteer, you’ll help patients feel seen, dignified, and cared for by providing gentle grooming and hair care services. Your time and talent can lift spirits and bring comfort during a sensitive and sacred season of life.

Key Responsibilities:

-Provide basic haircuts, trims, and light styling to hospice patients in their home (in facility or at their private residence)

-Offer a calming, compassionate presence during each visit

-Work closely with Compassus staff to schedule appointments and understand patient needs

-Respect patient dignity, preferences, and privacy at all times

-Adhere to all safety, hygiene, and infection control protocols

Ideal Volunteer:

-Licensed hair stylist or experienced in hair care (active license preferred but not always required)

-Kind, patient, and respectful in emotionally sensitive environments

-Comfortable working with individuals at end-of-life

-Must complete Compassus Hospice volunteer training, background screening, and TB blood test
