Grant Researcher & Writer (Remote, worldwide - ET Time Zone)
Love music? Love writing? Love securing the bag for a good cause? We’re looking for a Grant Researcher & Writer to help us find and win funding that fuels the DMV music scene. If you’ve got a way with words, an eye for opportunities, and a passion for making a difference, this gig is for you!
What You’ll Do
- Hunt down grants that align with our mission (like a treasure hunt, but with funding!).
- Write killer grant proposals that make funders say, "YES, take our money!"
- Keep track of deadlines and submissions like a pro.
- Team up with us to gather program details, impact stories, and all the good stuff.
- Attend virtual meetings in the ET time zone (coffee and cool vibes encouraged!).
What You Bring
- A way with words-writing is your superpower!
- Experience in grant writing or fundraising (extra points if it’s for the arts!).
- Detail-obsessed and deadline-driven.

Founded by DMV area music professionals FOR area music professionals, the DMV Music Alliance is a grassroots, non-profit, volunteer organization. It’s goals are dedicated to bringing together the organizations and individuals from all facets of the regional music ecosystem, all genres, and all communities across the DMV, so that together we can develop the services, resources, networks, and tools needed for both our regional musicians as well as our regional industry professionals - from every area genre, role in the industry, background, and area - to grow their careers in music here in the DMV.
