Do you love discovering cool venues? Are you the friend who always knows the best spots for events? The DMV Music Alliance is looking for a Location Scout to help us find amazing places for showcases, fundraisers, networking events, and more!
What You’ll Do:
- Explore live music venues, meeting spaces, outdoor spots, and unique locations for our events.
- Work closely with event planners to match the perfect venue to each event.
- Visit and assess spaces for accessibility, vibe, and logistics.
- Provide recommendations and insights to help us create unforgettable experiences.
What You Bring:
- A love for music, events, and discovering new places.
- Reliable transportation (not just Metro) - mileage reimbursement available.
- Strong attention to detail and great communication skills.
- Must live in the DMV area and be comfortable visiting locations in person.

Founded by DMV area music professionals FOR area music professionals, the DMV Music Alliance is a grassroots, non-profit, volunteer organization. It’s goals are dedicated to bringing together the organizations and individuals from all facets of the regional music ecosystem, all genres, and all communities across the DMV, so that together we can develop the services, resources, networks, and tools needed for both our regional musicians as well as our regional industry professionals - from every area genre, role in the industry, background, and area - to grow their careers in music here in the DMV.
