As a Facilitator for Bookwallah's Leadership Program, your role will be instrumental in guiding children through self-discovery and growth. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Program Facilitation:
  • Lead and facilitate the Library Monitor Program and Library Internship Program throughout the year.
  • Conduct Bookwallah Library Committee Meetings to enhance children's leadership skills and socio-emotional well-being.

2. Training and Development:

  • Train and mentor Library Monitors and Interns, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Provide comprehensive leadership training, equipping participants with advanced skills for effective program execution.

3. Participant Guidance:

  • Support children in their roles as Library Monitors, ensuring they excel in maintaining the library, organizing resources, and conducting storytelling sessions.
  • Guide interns through comprehensive training, aiding in the development of advanced leadership skills and the execution of storytelling programs.

4. Committee Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with the Bookwallah Library Committee, actively participating in meetings and ensuring cohesive teamwork.
  • Assist in the formation and management of the committee, fostering inclusivity, transparency, and shared decision-making.

5. Socio-Emotional Well-being:

  • Implement activities and experiences that promote positive socio-emotional well-being among participants.
  • Provide support for self-reflection and personal growth within a supportive community setting.

    Objective Implementation:
  • Work towards achieving the objectives of the Leadership Program, focusing on developing leadership abilities, promoting overall well-being, and enhancing communication and teamwork skills.
  1. Program Enhancement:
  • Contribute ideas for program improvements, actively participating in the continuous development of Bookwallah's Leadership Program.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness of the program, making adjustments as needed for optimal impact.

    2. Department Internships:
  • Guide and mentor interns as they transition to various departments (HR, Outreach, Marketing, Content Writing, Content Creation, Photography, Research).
  • Ensure interns' seamless integration into their chosen departments, facilitating a valuable learning experience.

We started small in India and today we are actively supporting over 2,500 children with our permanent libraries and over 45,000 with our first-level interventions, worldwide. These children are served by our wonderful network of volunteers, some of whom have been working with us for over 10 years.
