Major Duties
- Maintain own campsite in accordance with all park regulations to set a good example for other campers.
- Maintain a neat, tidy, and organized work area.
- Show up for scheduled hours and days.
- Educate campers on campground rules and regulations.
- Assist campers as best as possible with good customer service practices; assistance may be required after-hours.
- Effectively communicate to Recreation Fee Technicians (park rangers) staffing the campground kiosk.
- Make rounds through the campground (either on foot, bicycle, or government vehicle) and be observant; politely remind campers of rules and regulations, if needed, and update Recreation Fee Technicians on anything noteworthy.
- Report broken facilities or hazards to Recreation Fee Technicians to dispatch further assistance if needed.
- Report any law enforcement issues to Recreation Fee Technicians and/or Law Enforcement rangers to dispatch further assistance if needed.
- Perform minor campground maintenance such as cleaning/tidying campsites and dousing hot campfire rings.
- Drive a government vehicle or golf cart.
- Distribute comment forms to campers for positive/negative feedback if requested by camper.
Housing
Volunteer will provide own trailer/RV. Park will provide RV pad and pay for electricity, propane, sewer and water.
