Job Title: Volunteer Scrum Master/Project Management

Location: Remote

Position Type: Volunteer, Part-Time (Flexible Hours, minimum 5-10h/week)

About Us:

Delta Rising Foundation accelerates science-based systemic solutions as we evolve the art of sustainable culture. Our teams are working on innovative projects, including AI tools for climate action, social media strategies for outreach, and web platforms to support our mission. We’re looking for a passionate and organized Volunteer Scrum Master to guide our multidisciplinary teams and ensure smooth, collaborative progress toward our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies: daily/regular stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and reviews.
  • Support multiple teams (Social Media, AI, and Web Development) by promoting Agile best practices.
  • Work with team leads to manage backlogs, prioritize tasks, and ensure deliverables align with organizational goals.
  • Identify and help remove blockers that hinder progress.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Communicate updates and progress across teams and leadership.
  • Maintain and update project management tools (e.g. ClickUp).

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Project Management, Scrum Master or Agile facilitator, ideally across multiple teams preferred. An extraordinary desire to independently come up to speed, learn quickly, and jump in with enthusiasm may substitute for experience.
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum principles and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workflows and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Comfortable working remotely with distributed teams.
  • Independent work ethic and ability to take agency absolutely required.
  • Creative, kind, respectful yet fierce management style is pretty essential to this position.

Preferred Skills:

  • Scrum certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with nonprofit teams or volunteer-based organizations.
  • Familiarity with the tools we use or similar: ClickUp, Google Workspace.
  • Background or interest in social media, AI, or web development is a plus.

Why Volunteer with Us:

Join a team of passionate changemakers working across tech, media, and climate innovation. Your leadership will help us stay agile, organized, and effective as we tackle complex challenges and scale our impact. This is a great opportunity to refine your skills, grow as a Scrum Master, and contribute to meaningful projects that matter.

How to Apply:

Please send your resume and a brief note about your interest in this role to sarah.deamer@deltarisingfoundation.org. We look forward to collaborating with you!
