Location: Remote (Work in your PJ's? We don't judge.)
Organization: Wind Haven Foundation
Time Commitment: 5-10 hrs/week (flexible but focused)
Team Size: Small Team (2-3 developers)

About the Role

Are you a self-starting, spiritually-grounded wordsmith with a heart for healing and a quiet room with decent acoustics? (We know that sounds oddly specific, but stay with us...)

Wind Haven Foundation is seeking 2-3 volunteer Curriculum Developers to help us reboot and relaunch our advanced relationship recovery courses-the next phase in our healing program for survivors of toxic relationships and anyone seeking deeper, healthier connections.

This is a remote, flexible volunteer role, but it does require the ability to manage your own schedule, stay on task, and work in a peaceful environment while recording audio lessons.

What You’ll Actually Do

You’ll be part of our Relationship Recovery Reboot Team, breathing new life into a series of existing course modules-revamping the content, updating the language, and adding multimedia storytelling magic that transforms education into soul-deep restoration.

You’ll:
  • Train in Our Healing Methodology:
    We’ll walk you through:

    • The OIDR Method (Observe, Identify, Dispute, Replace)

    • The Healing Trinity (Body, Mind, Spirit)

    • Rhema Renewal, our faith-infused approach to heart change

  • Revamp the Curriculum:

    • Replace old "abuse-centered" language with growth-focused, relational language

    • Align everything with trauma-informed care and our broader audience (not just DV survivors)

    • Create content that is healing, accessible, and empowering

  • Create Full Multimedia Lessons:
    For each course module, you'll:

    • Rewrite the lesson summary

    • Build a slide deck in PowerPoint/Google Slides/Canva

    • Record your own voiceover in a quiet space and export it as a video

    • Write a journal reflection and a Discord discussion prompt

    • Bonus points for creating helpful graphics, resource lists, or short devotionals

What You Bring

We're looking for people who are:

  • Self-Motivated & Accountable

    • Can manage your own schedule and meet deadlines without being micromanaged

    • Comfortable working independently, checking in weekly with the team

    • Able to keep a quiet, focused space for recording voiceovers

  • Trauma-Informed & Growth-Oriented

    • Background in domestic violence recovery, relationship coaching, counseling, or ministry

    • Strong grasp of toxic dynamics, emotional safety, and how people really heal

  • Content-Smart & Heart-Led

    • You know how to write with empathy and clarity

    • You’re great at distilling complex ideas into digestible lessons

    • Bonus if you’ve written devotionals, curriculum, blogs, or studies

  • Faith-Based (But Not Religiously Rigid)

    • Comfortable weaving biblical truth with emotional and relational growth

    • Respectful of diverse spiritual experiences and backgrounds

  • Tech-Savvy Enough to Make it Happen

    • Can use PowerPoint, Google Slides, or Canva

    • Know (or can quickly learn) how to record audio narration

    • Familiar with exporting video, Google Drive, Discord, and basic task tools (Notion, Trello, etc.)

What’s In It for You?
  • Use your gifts to help people heal

  • Collaborate with a warm, witty, mission-driven team

  • Learn a transformational healing framework

  • Receive full credit and ongoing volunteer recognition

  • Be part of something that’s changing lives, not just checking boxes

Ready to Join Us?

Submit your resume/cover letter and include:

  • A brief intro (tell us your heart, not just your résumé)

  • Any relevant experience (formal or informal)

  • A sample of your work, if you have one (curriculum, writing, audio, anything creative)

Federal background check required - $18 via the Federal Bureau of Investigation for fingerprinting. This is required for all our volunteers due to the vulnerable population we serve. Thank you!

About WIND HAVEN INC

Location:

107 LA CLAIRE DR, D, WARNER ROBINS, GA 31088, US

Mission Statement

At Wind Haven, we’re more than advocates--we’re a sanctuary of healing, clarity, and restoration. Through our signature OIDR Healing Trinity and unique 12-Step Domestic Violence Recovery Program, we guide survivors through a transformational journey of recognizing abuse, reclaiming identity, and rebuilding with faith, safety, and purpose.

Description

Our Vision
We envision a world where every survivor is empowered to break free from the cycle of abuse and step boldly into healing. By blending trauma-informed care with holistic, faith-rooted solutions, we’re cultivating communities where recovery becomes reality-and every restored life becomes a beacon of hope for others.

Our Values
Our values drive lasting change:

  • Growing People Bloom: Like a lotus rising from the mud, healing starts with new awareness-seeing clearly and awakening to truth.

  • Healed People Inspire: When we confront past wounds, confusion gives way to clarity, turning our journey into a beacon of hope for others.

  • Radiant Hearts Connect: True restoration happens in unity. By challenging falsehoods, we learn to trust, love, and support one another.

  • Cultivated Community: Wholeness isn’t merely survival-it’s about creating a safe, vibrant future where every voice matters.
