You will help build a pilot program workforce development initiative that empowers neurodivergent adults through hands‑on dog‑training and animal‑assisted therapy. Your work will shape the curriculum, guide delivery, and secure the funding that turns our vision into reality, directly enhancing life‑skills, confidence, and community connections for participants.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram Design & Development
Collaborate with the Lead Program Designer to map out dog‑training modules and life‑skills integration tailored to neurodivergent learners.
Draft clear learning objectives, session plans, and success metrics.
Creative Content, Presentation & Field Learning
Produce engaging visuals, slide decks, and handouts for mentor training and participant orientations.
Develop both live training sessions (in‑person workshops, hands‑on dog‑handling clinics) and classroom‑style modules.
Coordinate field trips to partner work sites, such as hospitals, animal shelters, and community centers, to give participants real‑world experience.
Project Management & Organization
Maintain timelines, budgets, and documentation in Monday.com (or similar).
Coordinate logistics: venues, equipment, volunteer schedules, and animal welfare protocols.
Funding & Partnership Support
Assist in researching and drafting grant proposals, sponsorship packages, and donor pitch materials.
Help cultivate relationships with foundations, corporations, and individual funders.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as liaison between trainers, volunteers, participants, and community partners.
Provide regular status updates, compile feedback, and recommend improvements.
Passion for Dogs & Neurodiversity
Hands‑on experience with dog training, handling, grooming, or animal‑assisted therapy.
Empathy for neurodivergent learners and a commitment to inclusive design.
Program Development Background
Proven ability to translate ideas into structured curricula and training materials.
Familiarity with setting measurable learning goals and evaluating outcomes.
Strong Organizer & Communicator
Skilled at juggling tasks, deadlines, and stakeholder check‑ins.
Clear, engaging presenter and writer.
Fundraising Aptitude
Experience or interest in grant writing, sponsorship outreach, or donor communications.
Collaborative Mindset
Comfortable in a small‑team environment, open to feedback, and adaptable as the pilot evolves.
