In Tanzania, the issue of orphaned and vulnerable children has been a significant challenge, especially due to factors like poverty, disease, and conflicts. Many children lose their parents at a young age, leading them to become orphans or live in difficult situations. As the result of this situation many institutions has created environment to help them and making them feel as human, despite the difficult circumstances they face. Although, both local and international organizations, including volunteers, help these children overcome adversity and build a better future.
Volunteering as children's home care in Tanzania with Mauly Tours offers you a unique and rewarding experience to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need. As a volunteer, you’ll be working alongside local caregivers to support these children emotionally, physically, and educationally, and promoting a sense of hope among children.

- Teaching and awareness building
You will assist children in understanding and learning key school subjects such as Math, English, Science, and others. Your approach will be guided by the children’s guardian or the designated lead, who will help direct the specific areas of focus based on the children’s needs. Also, you will work on helping the children build skills that contribute to their overall development. This includes fostering good study habits, critical thinking, problem-solving, and encouraging self-confidence in their learning.
- Sports and arts
Through sports, volunteers will encourage physical activity, boost confidence, and promote a healthy sense of competition through various activity like coacher, football, netball and other favorable games. Meanwhile, in arts activities, they will support creative expression, enhance emotional well-being, and allow the children to explore their talents. Volunteers will also form meaningful bonds with the children, offering guidence and mentorship.
- Livestockkeeping
Volunteers participating in livestock activities with children can expect a hands-on, educational experience that fosters teamwork, responsibility, and empathy. In this setting, volunteers will help children learn about animal care, feeding, and basic farming techniques. The children will develop a sense of responsibility as they interact with and care for the animals, while volunteers provide guidance and support throughout the process. This activity will encourage outdoor engagement, teaches valuable life skills, and strengthens the bond between the children and the volunteers.
