Riparian Restoration--Invasive Hops pull

Do you want to help restore our local ecosystems? Then this project is for you! We will be working with hand tools alongside our Department of Native Landscapes Team to remove Japanese Hops, a widespread invasive species that causes erosion along riparian corridors. The plants will have just entered their growing season, so they will easy to pull by hand from the soil.

Parking & Meeting Location: Our meeting location will be at the Riverside Park Boat Launch. NOTE: The address stated above will take you to the Family Center, NOT the boat launch, as it currently does not have its own routable address. Please type 'Riverside Boat Launch' into your navigation app to get the most accurate directions. The boat launch is located north, past the Family Center and at the next left. A portalet will be available for use.

Safety: Close toed shoes are required for this project. Pants and long sleeves are strongly recommended to reduce risk of poison ivy exposure. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide tools and gloves.
