Are you ready to make a profound difference in the lives of youth who’ve experienced deep trauma? Do you have the heart and commitment to help children who need a safe, steady place to land as they begin their healing journey? If so, we invite you to explore the opportunity to become a Foster Family with our Complex Care Program.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of providing care to youth with complex needs, offering them the support they need to heal, grow, and thrive. The work is not easy-it’s challenging, rewarding, and deeply impactful. With the right support, you can be the difference in a young person’s life when they need it most.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide a safe, stable home: Welcome youth who’ve experienced significant trauma and provide them with the care, stability, and structure they need to begin healing.
  • Offer immediate support: Be available quickly-within 2 hours-to receive youth in crisis, offering them a place of safety and consistency.
  • Support healing: Help youth build trust and foster positive relationships, even through behavioral challenges.
  • Work as a team: Collaborate closely with our team of professionals, including caseworkers, therapists, and child welfare experts, to create and implement care plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.
  • Stay committed: Stick with youth throughout their journey, even during the tough moments, and provide a nurturing environment where they can feel heard, understood, and valued.

Who You Are:
You are a compassionate, flexible, and resilient individual or family who is ready to make a lasting impact. You’re someone who thrives in a challenging environment and is deeply committed to helping youth in need. You understand that this work requires dedication, patience, and a willingness to learn, but you also know the reward of making a tangible difference in a young person’s life.

Qualifications You’ll Need:

  • A loving, stable home: You must be able to provide a safe and supportive environment for youth in need.
  • Flexibility: Availability to respond within 2 hours for placements, and readiness to be on-call as needed.
  • One caregiver home most of the day: At least one caregiver should be available to offer consistency and care to the youth.
  • Commitment to care: Ability to stay engaged with youth, even through behavioral challenges and complex needs.
  • Background check: All Adults in the home undergo thorough background checks to ensure the safety and well-being of the youth in care.

What We Offer:

  • Generous monthly stipend and daily rate to help offset caregiving costs and support a balanced family life.
  • 24/7 wraparound support: You’ll have access to a team that provides intensive staffing and crisis response whenever needed.
  • Trauma-informed coaching and real-time problem-solving: We offer ongoing training and expert guidance to help you manage high-acuity behaviors and address the complex needs of youth.
  • Collaborative care: Close coordination with mental health, education, and child welfare professionals to provide seamless care for youth.
  • Ongoing home-based support: Receive regular check-ins, coaching, and assistance to ensure you have the tools and resources needed to succeed in your caregiving role.
