About EILEEN & CALLIES PLACE

Location:

PO BOX 401, KENT, WA 98035, US

Mission Statement

To empower, educate and train young women aged out of foster care to utilize life skills and community resources to support their ability to sustain an independent lifestyle.

Description

Eileen & Callie's Place was established for the primary purpose of supporting young ladies aged out of the foster care system. As mentors we commit to walk alongside them as they transition into adulthood, We host an annual birthday party for girls turning 18 that year (Celebrate 18!) realizing that many of the girls have never had a birthday party. It's a community event where the girls select new clothes, shoes, and accessories. Professional beauticians are on hand for hair-styling, makeup and manicures. The evening ends with a catered dinner and lots of birthday gifts. The secondary purpose of the party is to connect the girls with mentors. It is our goal to open a home that will be a safe and secure foundation to accommodate the transition
