We are seeking volunteers who are passionate about clay in all its forms-whether as pottery teachers, clay scientists, soil experts, or architects working with earth materials. The Clay Cultural Center’s Outreach Program is a dynamic initiative that unites professionals from diverse disciplines to explore and celebrate the multifaceted significance of clay. If you are someone who works with clay and is interested in offering a class, workshop, lecture, or clay-based healing treatment to an underserved community, we would love to hear from you. Your skills and passion can help bring the grounding, creative, and transformative power of clay to those who need it most.

Mission Statement

Our purpose is to provide a space for all people to develop a relationship with clay through research, a museum, lectures, and classes to catalyze a shift in consciousness that bridges science, art, and Spirit.

Description

The Clay Cultural Center, a 501c3, is a community-driven hub where artists, scientists, health practitioners, teachers, farmers, and others come together to explore the transformative power of clay. We blend science, art, and spirit to create a space for learning, experimentation, healing, and growth. Through lectures, classes, a museum, and shared meals, we foster connection and collaboration. Our vision includes a new ferrocement building to house a clay art lab, research lab, healing space, lecture hall, and a clay-based apothecary. We see clay not just as a material, but as a catalyst for change, helping us bridge diverse perspectives and reconnect with the natural world. Our mission is to inspire a deeper understanding of clay and its role in uniting us with each other and the Earth.
