About Bridging Gaps:

Bridging Gaps is a nonprofit initiative empowering underserved communities through microloans and entrepreneurship support. We connect private sector donations with community-driven projects to foster sustainable development and financial independence.

Founded by Janina Peter and Malish James, Bridging Gaps introduced a pay-it-forward microloan model to combat food insecurity and poverty in refugee communities. Instead of repaying loans to a central fund, successful entrepreneurs pass the funds on to new local businesses, creating a ripple effect of self-sustaining initiatives.

Our digital platform collects donations from Europe and the Global North, transforming them into microloans and sharing real-time updates with donors. This innovative blend of charity and microfinance builds lasting economic resilience and fosters long-term community empowerment.

  • Stay updated on social media trends and best practices to ensure content relevance and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing skills, creativity, and a knack for clear, engaging storytelling
  • Proficiency in social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite) and basic graphic design platforms (e.g., Canva, Figma) is a plus - first experience or a strong interest in learning these tools is also very welcome
