Emily Ayers, Volunteer Coordinator

We are looking for a compassionate volunteer to call and check on our hospice patients' caregivers after their passing. Bereavement calls are made to assess the level of support caregivers need, notify them of grief support group meetings, etc. Your commitment of just a few hours each week can provide comfort and emotional support to our hospice families during the time they need it most.

Why Being A Hospice Volunteer is Rewarding:

  • Leave a lasting impression on someone’s life during their final journey.
  • Providing comfort and emotional support.
  • Building meaningful relationships.
  • Celebrating life stories.
  • Discovering purpose and fulfillment.

Many of our volunteers tell us that volunteering with VitalCaring Group Hospice is one of the most rewarding activities in their busy lives. We also have opportunities to volunteer directly with patients and families who are on our hospice service. You will receive customized training and knowledge before you begin your first assignment to assure your success and satisfaction.
