Wild Paws seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist in our public relations efforts. This is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of nonprofit marketing and communications, including promotion of Wild Paws through various media platforms.
Responsibilities:
Collaborating on new ideas, directions and avenues to promote Wild Paws
Update media list
Coordinate media and community interest in Wild Paws and ensure regular contact with target media
Assist with marketing and social media team, collaborate for appropriate response to media requests
Assist in planning and implementing a public relations plan
Assist in finding press opportunities and writing press releases and submitting them to appropriate outlets and online calendars
Qualifications:
Interest in wildlife species and conservation and rescue, sustaining the environment, and education of the public
Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts
Knowledge or public relations platforms in press and online is a plus
Knowledge of social media platforms and analytics is a plus
Knowledge in design, photography and video production a plus
Selfmotivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, time and asset management skills
Interest in nonprofit marketing and communications
Time commitment: Minimum of 4-8 hours per month

Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of wild animals. We are a collection of animal lovers passionate about protecting our resources for today and beyond.
Our team has decades of animal rescue and keeping experience collectively, and includes an experienced and passionate veterinarian, a board of directors that have all volunteered or worked for numerous years at other animal organizations, and a variety of talented volunteers all bringing their broad expertise to this organization.
