The Palmetto Palace is seeking a private group to serve as Parking & Traffic Flow Assistants for two impactful events:

  • Free Dental Day - July 18-19, 2025

  • 4th Annual Day of Hope - July 19, 2025

These community-focused events will provide dental care, health services, and essential resources-and will also feature a community car show. We need a dependable volunteer group to help manage vehicle flow, parking logistics, and support a smooth, welcoming guest experience.

Great for:
Security teams, civic groups, fraternities/sororities, corporate volunteer teams, fire departments, ROTC units, and youth leadership groups.

What Your Group Will Do:

  • Assist with parking for patients, volunteers, vendors, and car show participants

  • Support traffic direction and flow during peak arrival times

  • Maintain safety and order in designated parking areas

Description

The Palmetto Palace is a South Carolina-based nonprofit founded in 2010 to provide comfort and critical resources to individuals and families facing medical crises. What began as bedside support for hospitalized families has grown into a statewide outreach organization delivering mobile healthcare services, education, and relief to underserved communities.

Our programs include a Mobile Health Unit, a Pharmacy Assistance Program for uninsured patients, an Education Lab on Wheels, and our newest initiative-Free Dental Day-bringing no-cost dental care to communities in need.

We aim to eliminate barriers to care, reduce health disparities, and uplift the most vulnerable through compassionate outreach. Recognized as a CDC and SC DHEC Immunization Champion, and recipient of multiple leadership awards, The Palmetto Palace is proud to serve South Carolina with integrity, innovation, and heart.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 17
  • Orientation or Training
  • Shifts available July 18–19, 2025. Groups can commit to one or multiple shifts. A short virtual orientation will be held before the event. Water, meals, and safety supplies provided.
  • Must be 16+, able to work outdoors, and willing to assist with parking and crowd flow. Group lead should attend virtual orientation. Vests and supplies provided.
