Providence ELderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible. As volunteers we are helping support and enrich the lives of our participants.

Bilingual Assistant: The ElderPlace Bilingual Assistant will assist our participants in adult day health with playing bingo, dominoes, cheeckers, crafting or spend time socializing with participants. They are to assist individuals that have language barriers in participating with activites in the day center. No experiece needed. Training will be provided by staff to better ensure a more gratifying volunteer experience. ElderPlace has 8 locations throughout Multnomah, Washington and Clackamas Counties.

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in Spanish, Vietnamese, Hindu or Creole
• Enthusiastic
• Ability to engage with many types of people
• Willingnes to be flexible and patient
• Dependable
• 16 + years of age
