Near ZIP 30157 in Dallas, Texas?

We're seeking a compassionate volunteer to assist a local homeowner going through a very difficult time. He recently lost his wife, who was the primary breadwinner, and is now preparing to sell the home while managing limited income and health challenges that prevent him from maintaining the yard himself.

This is a one-time or short-term opportunity to help with basic lawn mowing. Your support would bring meaningful relief during a time of grief and transition.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Mowing the front and/or back lawn

  • Light yard clean-up (if able)

What You’ll Need:

  • Your own landscaping equipment (preferred, but not required - let us know if you need help with equipment access)

Who You’re Helping:
A community member who hasn’t been able to work full-time due to hardship and is now navigating life after losing his spouse.

Impact:
Your small act of kindness will make a big difference - helping preserve the home’s appearance and easing stress for someone in need of support.

How to Help:
If you're able to assist or want more details, please click "I Want to Help" or message us. Thank you for considering giving your time to make a real impact.

Description

I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization (Tax ID: 85-3447661) that connects homeowners in need with a nationwide network of passionate landscaping volunteers. Launched in 2020 amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, we provide completely free lawn care services to seniors over 65, military veterans, individuals with disabilities, and those facing financial challenges, while prioritizing eco-friendly practices and fostering community connection.

Founded by Brian Schwartz after being laid off from his digital advertising job, the initiative began as a way to stay engaged during a difficult time. It has since grown into a thriving platform with over 1,300 volunteers across the USA and even some enlisted in other countries. With their help, we've revitalized countless yards, spreading kindness one lawn at a time.

Thanks to support from leading battery-powered equipment manufacturers and recognition in major media outlets, I Want To Mow Your Lawn(r) has become a growing, trademarked brand. Our mission connects the dots between homeowners and volunteers, offering relief while encouraging neighbors to lend a hand and make a difference. Whether it's trimming, edging, or just showing up to say hello, our volunteers help transform neighborhoods into stronger, greener communities.

Join us in this growing movement. Whether as a volunteer or supporter, your involvement helps us expand our reach and bring smiles to even more homes.
