Human Health Project (HHP) is a holistic health literacy charity. Our mission is to improve the health of the underserved and vulnerable through holistic information, education and advocacy. What You’ll Do
Technical Oversight
Work closely with engineering team to understand technical requirements and architecture across Laravel-based backend systems, NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, DynamoDB), and AWS infrastructure.
Translate technical requirements into actionable project plans and timelines.
Participate in technical discussions and guide trade-offs related to performance, scalability, and timelines.
Project Planning & Execution
Define and manage project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
Own sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.
Monitor progress using project management tools (e.g., Jira, ClickUp, Trello) and ensure on-time delivery.
Team Coordination & Collaboration
Act as the main point of contact between engineering, product, and business stakeholders.
Remove blockers and streamline communication across departments.
Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Quality & Delivery
Coordinate testing, code reviews, and deployment processes across AWS environments.
Ensure technical documentation and post-deployment support plans are in place.
Identify and manage risks to ensure product stability and quality.
Process & Efficiency
Analyze workflow to improve development efficiency and scalability.
Promote and implement best practices for CI/CD, version control, and project documentation.
What We’re Looking For
Required Skills & Experience
3+ years in a Technical Project Manager or Engineering Project Manager role.
Solid understanding of software development, particularly with Laravel/PHP, NoSQL databases, and AWS services.
Proven experience managing Agile software teams.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Nice to Have
Prior experience as a developer or engineer.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP).
